Initial design and feasibility studies with Vehicle Integration, and Product Design Office. - Create Source Packages and technical documents for powertrain components and parts. - Support  Mopar Purchasing to review technical submissions from suppliers and select a supplier. - Support component supplier development activities as needed. - Lead vehicle test and validation based on vehicle and component DVP validation - Host weekly engineering development meetings with supplier and Mopar team members - Help with supplier changes and deviations for past model powertrain components. - Manage and track releasing and changes of powertrain and components.  Qualifications: - Knowledge of powertrain and associated components (Lighting, Starters, Alternators, Fuel pumps and modules…) - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree required. Let’s change the game together.   Responsibilities: - Within the Maintenance Project, the on-Site support engineers are responsible for: - During dynamic validations: contributing to validation of the maintenance documentation, maintainability demonstrations, testability (troubleshooting methods), and maintenance execution (preventive and corrective). - During warranty: coordinating Troubleshooting activities. - Maintenance Project: Supporting Amtrak personnel in the daily execution of the maintenance activities (preventive and corrective), taking care about the good execution of the Maintenance Instructions. - Maintenance project: Reporting issues in Maintenance execution and suggesting optimizations, in terms of technical content (to Engineering team) as well as method (to Industrial team). - You will be the onsite technical reference for maintenance execution, troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation as well as the link with the Sub-system Engineers. They provide maintenance support beginning in Validation phase, prepare and execute for revenue service at the depots. Their combined job during validation is to fulfill one of the Test & Validation team needs, execute maintenance (corrective and planned), reporting technical anomalies, and developing maintenance execution for fleet service. Their job during warranty is to support trainset availability, oversee maintenance execution, and manage improvements to maintenance, maintenance documentation. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. - Knowledge of rail industry - More than 5 years of experience in the customer interface, with on-site assignments, for Operations, Maintenance, and wayside equipment with railway authorities. - Excellent knowledge of transit workshops and operating environment (Including Infrastructure and ayside equipment) with respect to processes, procedures, and safety.  - Understanding of Engineer documentation, schematics, etc - Good knowledge of the following areas: electromechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulic, pneumatic systems. - Must have the eligibility to work in the US. (Excel, Power Point, Project, Word). - Good understanding and communication skills across multiple aerospace disciplines. - Write and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
