Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all aspects of production within the factory.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment and analysis of current production methods to identify areas for improvement.
- Using analysis results, work with production and engineering teams to develop innovative production improvements aimed at optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Maximize the productivity of machinery and workers to achieve production goals.
- Ensure compliance with product specifications and enforce quality control measures.
- Determine the selection and placement of machines, tools, equipment, etc., within the facility for optimal workflow.
- Assess and report workforce requirements to leadership; create training plans to optimize people and processes
- Continuously strive to increase speed and efficiency without compromising product quality or safety.
- Design and implement effective quality control measures to monitor products and ensure desired outcomes.
- Oversee and troubleshoot any breakdowns or production issues, including identifying human errors.
- Develop safety protocols and educate employees on proper machinery operation techniques.
- Collaborate with the hiring of technicians to maintain equipment for maximum safety and efficiency.
- Ensure projects are executed within set budgetary plans and schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in production/industrial engineering, with managerial experience being a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to direct and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented and highly efficient in managing multiple tasks and projects.
- Capability to maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients.
